Armenian Defense Minister Arshak Karapetyan on August 27 met with a delegation headed by First Deputy Chief of CSTO Joint Staff in Armenia, Lt. Gen. Hasan Kaloyev, Ministry of Defense said in a statement.

Minister Karapetyan briefed them on the security environment around Armenia. Lt. Gen. Kaloyev spoke about the issues of planning the joint operative deployment of the CSTO Collective Rapid Reaction Force. They exchanged views on decision-making within the CSTO and the improvement of mechanisms for the use of collective forces. Gen. Kaloyev was also briefed on the combat readiness of the Armenian units included in the CSTO Rapid Reaction Forces.
