Russian security forces arrest 31 terrorists

Russian security forces have arrested 31 members of the Katiba Tawhid wal-Jihad terrorist organization in Moscow and several other regions of the Russian Federation, Russian Federal Security Service has said in a statement, RIA Novosti reported. The group members are suspected of recruiting new members and sending them to Syria.
“The FSB of the Russian Federation, in the framework of a special operation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs with the Federal Service of the National Guard, arrested 31 people, including a number of leaders, including members of the organization,” the statement said, adding that members of the organization recruited, sent recruits to combat zones, financed terrorists in Syria.
