Erdogan’s ratings keep droping

According to Turkish media, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is lagging behind a number of his main opposition candidates in the recent polls. According to a new poll conducted by the Yöneylem Center for Social Research, Erdogan and his Justice and Development Party are lagging behind their main rivals, the opposition Republican Party and the center-right IYI. The poll was conducted in July among 3040 people in 230 settlements of the country. To the question whether you will vote for Erdogan or not, 55% said they will never vote. Those who are inclined to vote for Erdogan make up 33%. When asked who the voters will support if there is an election now, most of the respondents preferred the chairman of the Republican People’s Party Kemal Kilicdaroglu, the mayor of Istanbul Ekrem Imamoglu, the leader of the IYI party Meral Aksener. Among his possible rivals, the Turkish President is the most behind Ankara Mayor Mansur Yavaş, who received 52.8% of the vote. According to experts, the main reason for Erdogan’s  decline is his failed policy, which has led to economic decline, high inflation and rising unemployment in Turkey.
