Armenian Consul General in Los Angeles discusses priorities of Armenian agenda with US Congresswoman Michelle Steel

05.08.2021 | 14:57On August 4, Consul General of the Republic of Armenia, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Armen Bayburdyan had an online meeting with US Congresswoman Michelle Steel, who represents the 48th congressional constituency stretching along the coast of Orange County, Southern California. The Consulate General of the Republic of Armenia in Los Angeles informs.
“Ambassador Bayburdyan congratulated Congresswoman Steele on being elected to the US House of Representatives and joining the Armenian congressional caucus. He highly assessed Michelle Steel’s continuous support and dedication to the Armenian issues.
Ambassador Bayburdyan informed Congresswoman Steel about Azerbaijan’s encroachments on the state sovereignty of the Republic of Armenia. The results of Azerbaijan’s ongoing military provocations on the border with Armenia, which end with human casualties, as well as the refusal to release Armenian civilians held illegally in Azerbaijan, are a gross violation of international law. He stressed the need to condemn these atrocities and to observe the basic rules of peaceful coexistence of mankind.
Congresswoman Steel noted that her commitment to support the Armenian issues is permanent.
