EU reacts to Armenian-Azerbaijani border tension

20.07.2021 | 13:55EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the Crisis in Georgia Toivo Klaar spoke about the tension on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border in Nakhichevan, expressing concern over the situation.
“The deeply worrying developments on the Armenian-Azerbaijani state border continue. We reiterate our call for restraint, separation of forces and a constructive dialogue on border issues without further losses. The European Union is ready to help the parties,” Klaar wrote on his Twitter microblog.
Earlier, the Armenian Ministry of Defense announced that late on July 19, the Azerbaijani units kept shooting at the Armenian positions located near Yeraskh. The head of Yeraskh community, Radik Oghikyan,was wounded.
