Roscosmos offers Azerbaijan joint projects in restoration of occupied Artsakh regions and space

The Russian state corporation Roscosmos offers Azerbaijan new joint projects in the restoration of the occupied territories of Artsakh and in the space field, Roscosmos head Dmitry Rogozin said in an interview with the Azerbaijani CBC, local media reported.
“We have offered light-minibus transport for the Azerbaijani cities under renovation. We now produce very interesting and beautiful trams, we produce the Maglef system – trains with magnetic pad. We are ready to supply them to Azerbaijan, as well as medical equipment and many other things. Roscosmos can become a very important partner for the Azerbaijani economy,” Rogozin said.
He also said that Roscosmos plans to cooperate with the Azerbaijani Space Agency in the field of remote observation of the country from the space. In addition, Rogozin noted that Azerbaijan needs to create an orbital group of space equipment, and the Russian state corporation is ready to share its experience, as well as to provide the necessary assistance.
“We have space equipment that were created in the interests of Azerbaijan, but more can be done. We are ready to offer very close cooperation here, even to the creation of space equipment, the creation of joint space operator services for space photo and video photographing. Plus, we can say that Azerbaijan has the resources for that,” said the head of Roscosmos.
He added that the Russian corporation plans to develop cooperation with Azerbaijan not only in the field of space, but also in the fields of energy, transport and medicine. It is reported that Rogozin plans to visit Baku in the near future to meet with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
