High activity due to acute respiratory infections continues to be registered in Armenia, both in outpatient polyclinic and hospitals, as well as in ambulance calls. The highest activity was registered in Yerevan, as well as in Ararat, Gegharkunik, Tavush and Kotayk provinces, the Ministry of Health said.
According to the results of the monitoring carried out by the specialists of the Ministry’s National Center for Disease Control and Prevention, the disease is 2․2 times higher than the epidemic threshold, and 2 times higher than the same period of the previous year. The analysis by age groups proves that the disease is higher in children under four years old and those between the ages of five and fourteen.
