French President Emanuel Macron welcomed the release of 10 Armenian prisoners of war by Azerbaijan and their return to Armenia.

“10 Armenian soldiers were released. I would like to welcome the EU’s decisive action. We will continue to follow that path, from dialogue to peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia. We are moving forward,” Macron wrote on Twitter.

Earlier, Foreign Ministry spokesman Vahan Hunanyan said that 10 prisoners of war had returned to their homeland through the mediation of European Council President Charles Michel.
