16.12.2021 | 15:35At the Brussels summit, EU leaders will announce the need to maintain the principle of inviolability of borders in the light of the situation around Ukraine, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has said, RIA Novosti reported.
“The difficult situation in Ukraine will be discussed, as well as the issue of what to do with the movement of troops along the border, so today we will reiterate that border inviolability is one of the most important principles of peace in Europe,” Scholz told reporters before the EU leaders’ summit in Brussels.
The West has repeatedly accused Moscow of aggressive actions near the Ukrainian border. Spokesman for the Russian President Dmitry Peskov said that Russia is moving troops in its territory at its own discretion. According to Peskov, it does not threaten anyone, it should not bother anyone.
