US says ‘robust range of military options’ exist to deter Iran

The United States has a number of “military options” to contain Iran, General Kenneth McKenzie, the head of the US Central Command (CENTCOM), has said.
In an interview with the Financial Times, Mackenzie said that the United States has a “robust range of military options.”
“Iran seriously underestimates us if it thinks that it can continue its attack in Iraq and Syria, and at the same time continue the negotiations on the nuclear agreement without any delay. We have the opportunity, if necessary, to strengthen very quickly. And I think Iran understands that very well.”
According to publication’s source, Pentagon officials informed White House National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan in October about military options that would prevent Iran from developing a nuclear weapon.
