Artsakh ombudsman welcomes ICJ ruling

On his Facebook page, Artsakh Ombudsman Gegham Stepanyan commented on the ICJ’s ruling. The post reads in part:
“We welcome the decision of the International Court of Justice to take urgent measures against Azerbaijan, which, among other things, confirms that racial hatred and discrimination against Armenians are instigated, promoted by Azerbaijani officials and state institutions. The court decision proves the existence of a state policy of racial hatred and discrimination against Armenians in Azerbaijan. We have repeatedly stated that Azerbaijan’s attacks on Armenians, including torture, murder, and inhuman treatment, are carried out in accordance with or in promotion of the Azerbaijani state policy of systematic, large-scale violation of the fundamental rights of Armenians.”
