PM Pashinyan: There are claims that Syunik villages are blocked, is it true?
At today’s Cabinet meeting, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan asked Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Gnel Sanosyan to provide information on the construction of alternative roads in Syunik. Sanosyan said that there are seven roads that are constantly discussed.
“One is Tatev-Aghvani, which is finished and already passable. Work is underway in the other six sections, one of which is the Kashuni-Bardzravan road, which is 9.5 kilometers long. The other is the Tandzaver-Shurnukh road, which is 13 km long, part of which is completely new. Out of the 10 kms of the Vorotan-Khotk road, 5 km is ready, we have two road sections – Kapan-Chakaten and Kapan-Geghanush-Chakaten, there are certain slopes, the road will be passable,” he said.
Sanosyan said they will build a new Kapan-Chakaten road, which will be easier to use and more accessible. “19.9 km of Tat-Ltsen road works are underway,” the minister said.
Pashinyan responded, noting that in all these directions it is necessary to have good ground roads accessible for all types of vehicles in all seasons.
