Artsakh ombudsman to present report to international bodies
The Republic of Artsakh ombudsman, Gegham Stepanyan, has issued an official statement saying he is going to present detailed report on Azerbaijani atrocities to international bodies.
“In the past year after the trilateral declaration of November 9, 2020, the Azerbaijani side has deliberately continued criminal acts against the people of Artsakh, about which we have repeatedly stated over the past year and informed international organizations and human rights organizations. The large-scale hostilities were stopped, but the aggressive hostilities by the Azerbaijani-Turkish tandem were transformed into planned and coordinated actions to intimidate the population of Artsakh and evict the Armenians from Artsakh. The statistics presented by the Prosecutor’s Office of the Artsakh Republic show that during the past year 56 crimes were committed by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces located near the civilian settlements of the Artsakh Republic, in connection with which 43 criminal cases were initiated,” the statement says.
