Kiev and Ankara are negotiating to set up production facilities in Ukraine for producing Bayraktar drones, Ukrainian Ambassador to Turkey Vasily Bodnar has told the RFE/RL, Censor.NET reported.

Bodnar said it is about large-scale production of drones from scratch. They can be built to meet the needs of the Ukrainian armed forces, as well as the markets of third countries.

Many countries are interested in Bayraktars, Bodnar said, adding that Kyrgyzstan too is buying them, and as the production capacity in Turkey is strain, it is also in the interests of Turkey to build additional production capacity for the whole cycle, to develop new markets, to conduct joint experiments, possibly to train some foreign partners to master this technology, to jointly develop the defense sector.
