A line of trucks has been formed at the Sadakhlo-Bagratashen checkpoint. Today, one of the drivers waiting in line called the Factor.am to say that he had been waiting since 10 o’clock last night

“There are about 60 tucks in our parking lot, and there are people waiting in such two parking lots,” said the truck driver.

In response to our request, said Lusine Mkrtchyan of the State Revenue Committee said: “We do not have a problem. The trucks undergo appropriate inspections – mandatory X-ray examination, it has always been and is a time-consuming process, but it is a normal process. Now more than 300 trucks enter Bagratashen per day. Compared to October 1, the flow has increased by 15-20%.”

In connection with the situation on the Georgian border, we also contacted Aram Tananyan, the customs attaché at the Armenian Embassy in Russia. The latter informed that at the moment there are about 80 trucks but it cannot be considered a problem․

“There is no problem on the Georgian side. There are 80 trucks in Sadakhlo, 130 spots are available. Up to 200 trucks is not a problem at all. It passes in one day, ” Tananyan said.
