Two small earthquakes hit northern Armenia
A 3.3 magnitude earthquake was registered 15 km north-east of Bavra village in the Georgian -Armenian border zone on August 15, at 23:42 local time (19:42 GMT). The magnitude of the earthquake in the epicenter was 4-5.
The earthquake was also the villages of Amasia, Zuygaghbyur, Paghaghbyur and Metsavan. No casualties were reported.
Another 4.5 magnitude earthquake was registered on August 16, at 05:44 local time (01:44 Greenwich Mean Time) 16 km north-east of Bavra village. The earthquake was felt in Armenia’s Shirak and Lori provinces with 4-5 magnitude in Tavush province with 3-4 magnitude.
