Mayor of Odzun files police report for crime against him
The mayor of Odzun filed a report with the police about the crime committed against him, Spokesman for the Prosecutor General Gor Abrahamyan wrote on his Facebook page.
“The Armenian Prosecutor General has instructed to immediately launch a criminal case on that basis. After the initiation, the criminal case will be immediately sent to the Special Investigation Service,” the post reads.
Earlier, the Armenian bloc had issued a statement that they have already received numerous calls from all the communities where the community leaders were the supporters or teammates of the Armenia bloc in the early parliamentary elections. The bloc claims that in all the communities the mayors are forcefully urged to resign voluntarily; a similar demand was made to the mayor of Odzun, Arsen Titanyan. According to the statement, when he refused to fulfill the governor’s demand, he was beaten in the building of the provincial administration.
