The Biden administration believes that the change in relations with Russia will take time
The meeting of Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Joe Biden will not change the relations between the two countries, but the tone of the talks in Geneva was constructive, spokesman for the Biden administration has told Reuters.
It simply cannot happen overnight, it will take some time to see to what extent these areas of cooperation are yielding real results, said the unnamed official.
The Russian-American summit was held in Geneva. It was initiated by Washington. Prior to the meeting, the Kremlin press service said that Putin and Biden would discuss the prospects for further development of bilateral relations, strategic stability issues, as well as issues on the international agenda, including cooperation in the fight against the coronavirus epidemic and the settlement of regional conflicts.
