Moscow considers the role of the OSCE useful in supporting the settlement of the Transdiestr and Nagorno-Karabakh conflicts, a statement by the Russian Foreign Ministry, dedicated to the meeting of the OSCE Ministerial Council, says, RIA Novosti reported.
“The OSCE has a useful role to play in supporting the settlements of the Transdniestr and Nagorno-Karabakh conflicts, and is one of the co-chairs of the Geneva Dialogue on Security and Stability in the South Caucasus. We believe that the settlement of any conflict should take place through peaceful political and diplomatic methods, within the framework of the already established scales, with the direct participation of the parties to the conflict and taking into account the interests,” the statement reads.
The OSCE Ministerial Council will be held on December 2-3 in Stockholm.
