Death rates up in Armenia, COVID – 19 death cases triple

24.11.2021 | 18:06In January-September of this year, the number of deaths in Armenia increased by 11.2% or by 2,390 cases reaching 23, 674.
Deaths from Covid-19 have almost tripled. In January-September of last year, 1070 people died from Covid-19, while 2,961 people died this year.
The number of deaths from HIV has also increased significantly: 28 deaths were registered this year against last year’s 17 cases, up 64%.
In January-September 2021, 11 cases of maternal mortality were registered due to complications related to pregnancy; making the maternal mortality rate 41.0 points compared to 15.1 points in January-September 2020.
There is a decrease in the death rates from infectious-parasitic diseases, neoplasms, other diseases of the respiratory organs.
