About 1700 hectares of territory in Artsakh were cleared of explosives by Russian sappers

The humanitarian demining staff of the Russian peacekeeping troops continues to work to clear the territory of Artsakh from explosive objects, the website of the Russian Defense Ministry reports. During the day, Russian sappers neutralized 12 artillery shells with a caliber of 152 mm in Martakert. In total, since November 23, 2020, 1.690 hectares of land, 525 km of roads, 1.613 residential buildings, including 30 social facilities, have been cleared of unexploded ordnance and 25.237 explosives have been found. The explosive objects found were taken out and destroyed in a specially equipped military school. The ammunition, which could not be evacuated, was destroyed on the spot by all necessary security measures for the explosion.
