British Parliament to debate on rcognition of Armenian Genocide

04.11.2021 | 15:03The British Parliament is set to debate a bill on recognizing the Armenian Genocide for the first time, the Armenian National Committee of Great Britain reported. The first hearings in the House of Commons will take place on November 9.
The bill was introduced by Conservative MP Tim Lawton. If the bill is passed at this stage, the United Kingdom will be one step closer to recognizing the Armenian Genocide, the Armenian National Committee says adding that “an unpunished crime is an encouraged crime.”
