In an image shared on that social network, it can be seen as a crowd subject to a person whose head is covered with a white cloth.
It is possible that the servicemen in question belong to the crew of the US Navy warship USS Mount Whitney, currently anchored in the port of Sarayburnu (Istanbul, Turkey).
It is not the first time that attacks of this nature have occurred against US soldiers, in what would be a revenge for events that took place on July 4, 2003, when the Turkish military were captured by the US Ground Forces, who placed bags over their heads during transfers prior to their release.
Thus, a similar episode occurred in November 2014, when members of the TGB attacked a United States soldier in the Turkish capital who was walking through the streets in uniform. Shouting “Yankee, go to your country!”, The young men chased the soldier, surrounded him, threw paint at him and shook him, in addition to trying to cover his head with a plastic bag.
