20.10.2021 | 15:15Ali Nagyev, the head of the State Security Service of Azerbaijan and the chairman of the State Commission on Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing Persons, yesterday received a delegation led by the Vice President of the International Committee of the Red Cross Gilles Carbonier, Azerbaijani media said.
Speaking about the search for Azerbaijani citizens who went missing during the two Artsakh wars, Nagiyev expressed hope that the organization would continue to play an active role in this issue.
As for the visits of the organization’s representatives to Artsakh, Nagyev said they are possible only by using the territory of Azerbaijan, not Armenia.
Thus, Azerbaijan is trying in every way to hinder the right of the Armenians of Artsakh to receive humanitarian aid. The ICRC is the only international organization that has an office in Artsakh.
