The height called Lkatr near Pela Mountain close to Kapan city, Syunik province, has completely passed under the control of Azerbaijan, Kapan community head Gevorg Parsyan told Factor.am. He said two days ago the Russian border guards were lowered from that position.

“For us, that mountain road served as an intermediate path, the villagers used it to go to the forest to find firewood. Years ago, there was an air defense military unit there, then over time, we and the Azerbaijani side began to use that road section. Now it is completely theirs, they have closed it for us,” said the mayor. Parsyan said that he did not know when and by whom such an agreement was reached. We also tried to get clarification from the governor of Syunik Melikset Poghosyan. He said. “There is no such thing, they are false things,” but did not provide any other additional information. To our clarifying question, did they try to clarify the information, the governor gave a negative answer.
