Several EU countries have stopped vaccinating with the AstraZeneca vaccine

11.03.2021 | 19:38Authorities in several EU countries have temporarily suspended vaccinations for AstraZeneca after receiving reports of thromboembolism, RIA Novosti reported. Such information was received on Thursday by the Dutch “Lareb” Center, which studies side effects.
The Danish and Austrian authorities have similar information. The reason for such a decision was the death of one of the vaccinated women and the illness of another woman. Both women have been vaccinated in the same batch. Such decisions have been made in Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Luxembourg, and Cyprus. The European Medicines Agency (EMA) has stated that these cases have not yet been linked to the possible poor quality of the drug or its side effects.
