Government reduces number of New Year non-working days
The days following January 1 will be business days, except January 6. The days between January 2 and 5 will be working days. The relevant draft resolution was discussed at the cabinet meeting today.
From now on, only December 31, January 1 and January 6 will be holidays.
The government argued that Armenian citizens have more paid holidays than most developed countries and developing countries, and this has a negative impact on both the gross domestic product and the output of the main sectors of the economy.
