Reserve Sergeant Mkrtich Hovakimyan, 43, serving in a military position in south-eastern Armenia, received a lethal gunshot wound on September 13 as a result of a violation of military service the rules, Ministry of Defense said today in a statement.

An investigation is underway to find out the circumstances of the incident.
