Azeri armed units once again resorted to provocation and on September 1, at around 11:00 started shooting from sniper rifles at the Armenian positions of the Yeraskh section of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border in Ararat province, fatally wounding contract serviceman Junior Sergeant Gegham Sahakyan, 39, The Ministry of Defense said in a statement.

The statement also warned that Azerbaijani actions would not go unanswered and that the entire responsibility for the aggravation of the situation falls on the military-political leadership of Azerbaijan.
