RA Minister of Health explains who can be vaccinated and when

18.02.2021 | 12:53Vaccination against COVID in Armenia is planned to start in March. Vaccinations will be carried out on a voluntary basis, Armenian Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan told this to the reporters today. The vaccine will be free for citizens in risk groups, and it is yet unknown how much it will cost for other citizens.
By the order of the Minister, the list of risk groups has been approved, which includes citizens over 65, healthcare workers, people with chronic diseases, employees of closed institutions, and beneficiaries. According to the minister, children are not included in the vaccination program.
She added that a small number of vaccines have already been used in Armenia. In particular, several people have been given the Russian Sputnik V vaccine, received as a gift from the Russian Federation. In the near future, Armenia will receive more medicines and will be able to start vaccinations for a wider specter of population.
