11.08.2021 | 17:01A scandal is maturing in Russian-Azerbaijani relations. In particular, yesterday a video was posted on the Internet of an Azeri diplomat, former Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Belarus, Moldova, Switzerland and Pakistan, Isfandiyar Vahabzade, insulting Russian politician Vladimir Zhirinovsky and the Russian people. Vahabzade thus responded to Zhironovsky’s earlier statements, which the Azerbaijani side considered an insult to the country’s leadership. Russia’s Chargé d’Affaires in Baku was invited to the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.
In the video, Vahabzade particularly mentions that at one time “Zhironovsky called the Azeris sheep, to which they did not respond, and after a while the Russian figure began to be arrogant.”
“Listen, Volodya, fat pig, old donkey. You smell like a pig, you are a pig, your nation smells like a pig,” says Vahabzade. He says “every month they send caviar, fish, money as much as possible to the Russians and they starve to death.” This month, the Azeri diplomat offers to send a sniper rifle to the Russians and Zhirinovsky and continues to voice various insults.
Isfandiyar Vahabzade is the son of the famous Azerbaijani writer Bahtiyar Vahabzade. Even after leaving the post of ambassador, he stands out with noisy statements.
