09.08.2021 | 17:03State Revenue Committee (SRC) has issued a statement warning businesses and individuals against attempts to illegally import goods of Turkish origin.
The statement says that attempts to breach the government ban on Turkish imports have become more frequent by concealing their origin through removal of labels or other illegal activities.
“The Committee urges all citizens and businesses not to waste time and resources to conceal the Turkish origin of goods, as in case the country of origin of the goods is unknown at the customs border, the State Revenue Committee will take action to find out their real origin. And until the end of the operation, the goods and vehicles will not be released, which will lead to downtime and additional financial costs. Even in case of suspicion of goods of Turkish origin, their entry into the territory of the Republic of Armenia will be banned and they will be immediately expelled from the country,” the statement warns.
