Deadline to nominate foreign minister approaching

06.08.2021 | 17:03After Nikol Pashinyan on August 2 was reappointed as prime minister, the process of forming a cabinet began. On the same day and the following days, there were a number of appointments and reappointments, in particular, defense, labor and social affairs, environment, territorial administration and infrastructure, healthcare, emergency, economy, finance, education, justice and only at the end – high-tech industry ministers. Until now, only the post of foreign minister remains vacant.
Under the law, the prime minister has five days to nominate a minister to the president of the republic.
The President’s Office informed Factor.am that the president has not yet received a proposal from the Prime Minister to appoint a foreign minister.
