The Criminal Court of Appeals ruled today to to reject the defense’s appeal and uphold the prior ruling of the Court of First Instance to keep the mayor of Sisian, Artur Sargsyan, in custody.

Sargsyan is accused of abuse of office and falcification of official documents for personal or group gains.

Sargsyan denies any wrongdoing.
