02.08.2021 | 18:09A U.S. delegation headed by Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt has visited the Azerbaijani occupied territories of Artsakh, in particular, the Kovsakan (Zangelan region) of Artsakh. The visit was organized by the Ministry of Agriculture of Azerbaijan, to familiarize with the “smart village” project
The project will be implemented with five components: housing sector, production, social services, “smart agriculture” and alternative energy. First of all, it is planned to build 200 houses in the area, using innovative
Photos posted on the Internet show that US Ambassador to Azerbaijan Earle Litzenberger also visited the occupied territories of Artsakh as part of the American delegation. The United States is a co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group; such a move by the ambassador is a bit strange, given that earlier Litzenberger did not participate in a propaganda visit to Shushi with his Russian-French counterparts in Baku. By the way, the US Embassy in Azerbaijan did not publish any information or photo about this visit on its social media pages.
Secretary of Agriculture Blayne Arthur and Maj. Gen. Michael Thompson, adjutant general of the Oklahoma National Guard, are also in the delegation along with other officials.
