09.07.2021 | 17:06It is planned to extend the quarantine in Armenia, set by a government decree, Acting Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan told reporters on July 9.
“In my opinion, it should definitely be extended, because the decision on quarantine creates a toolkit that allows us to apply more or less severe restrictions,” she said.
“In order not to worsen the situation as soon as the educational process begins, not to have a general lockdown, preventive measures are needed, such as vaccinations. If the teaching staff is not vaccinated, the lessons will be held online. And service workers, if they do not want to be vaccinated, then they must regularly take a coronavirus test. This is a matter of national security. All the measures defined by the law are applicable, we are going to use all possible measures. But I repeat, we have accepted the principle of volunteerism. We are on the path of educating, informing, persuading and conveying the right information to people,” Avanesyan said.
