Baku charges 2 Armenian captives with espionage

06.07.2021 | 15:10Azerbaijan continues to fabricate criminal cases against Armenian prisoners of war illegally detained in that country. According to Azerbaijani media, the investigation of two more captives, Davit Davtyan and Gevorg Sujyan, charged with espionage, is over and the cases has been referred to court.
The trial is scheduled to start on July 14.
In other cases, Lebanese-Armenian Vigen Euljekchian was sentenced to 20 years in prison, Shirak Province residents Hrach Avagyan and Gegham Serobyan to four years in prison; 12 others to six months in prison. The latters, however, returned to Armenia on July 3.
