04.04.2021 | 18:25The National Demining Agency of Azerbaijan states that the fragments of the missiles found in Shushi on March 15 belong to the “Iskander M” system, which was allegedly used by the Armenian side in the second Artsakh war. This was announced by the head of the operative headquarters of the agency Idris Ismayilov in a conversation with journalists.
According to him, during the study of specialists, the missile index – 9M723 – was checked.
“As it turns out, those remains belong to the “Iskander” missile. They were 780 meters away from each other. Specialists have come to the conclusion that the missiles were fired from the “Iskander M” operative tactical system,” Ismailov said, adding that an investigation was underway at the site of the explosion.
It should be noted that the “Iskander M” system is intended only for the Russian Armed Forces and is not exported. The “Iskander E” operative tactical system is in the arsenal of the Armenian Armed Forces.
