US Secretary of State Antony Blinken wrote on his Twitter about the case of deprivation of the lawyer Shahla Humbatova’s license by the Azerbaijani authorities, expressing his support for the lawyer.

“I was disturbed to hear that 2020 International #WomenOfCourage awardee Shahla Humbatova of Azerbaijan was disbarred for her work defending and advocating for human rights. We call for Shahla’s expedited reinstatement, and we will continue to stand with her”, Blinken wrote.
