23.12.2021 | 12:22In general, there is no Armenian-Turkish agenda yet, Armenia’s Security Council Secretary Armen Grigoryan has said in an interview with Public Television.
Speaking about the possible components of the agenda, Grigoryan noted: “For example, the possible opening of the Kars-Gyumri railway creates great opportunities for Armenia and Turkey, which also creates economic ties between Armenia and Turkey, which is a possible security factor.”
Turkish President Erdogan stated that if Armenia wants to open the Armenian-Turkish border, it must provide corridors. To the question whether Armenia has fulfilled that precondition, Grigoryan responded: “We have repeatedly said that any discussion about the corridor is a ‘red line’ for us. Armenia has never discussed, is not discussing, will not discuss any issue on the corridor. If Turkey means using the roads of Armenia as a sovereign territory of Armenia when speaking about corridors, then our approaches coincide.”
