Biden addresses nation: Omicron variant has become prevalent

The Omicron variant of the coronavirus, which is spreading rapidly around the world, has become prevalent in the United States, US President Joe Biden said in an address to nation.
“This is not March 2020. We are ready. We know more [about the virus].” He said.
Biden reminded that vaccination centers have been set up all over the country, and called on Americans to get a booster. Addressing unvaccinated people, he said they make a choice between “life and death.”
You think that you only risk your life, that it is your choice. But it also affects the lives of others. You are endangering your relatives, friends, neighbors, strangers, he said.
Biden also said that the government would purchase 500 million express tests, which can be ordered free of charge in January, and said he would send thousands of military doctors to US hospitals to provide additional hospital beds and resources in the most difficult areas.
