24.03.2021 | 22:12The 100% owner of one of the largest Internet providers in Georgia, “Caucasus Online”, is now the Azerbaijani holding “NEQSOL”, more specifically, businessman Nasib Hasanov, Aliq.ge reports.
The Georgian National Communications Commission, however, considers Hasanov to be the illegal owner. 49% of “Caucasus Online” was acquired by the Azerbaijani company in 2019. The transfer was not agreed with the National Communications Commission, which is why a request was made to return the organization to its original state. Last year, under amendments to the Communications Law, the commission appointed a special head of the organization, although the court temporarily suspended his powers.
