There are deep security and economic issues – Artsakh official
Speaking at a news conference dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Artsakh independence referendum today, Artsakh State Minister Artak Beglaryan singled out five main pillars for the country’s development: sustainable security, sustainable socio-economic development, demographic growth, quality education and effective governance.
“In terms of long-term security, I can say that we seed the conflict resolution through peaceful means, on the basis of unconditional recognition of our rights, recognition of our independence, retention of our occupied territories.”
He said there are deep security and economic problems after the war.
He also said there are thousands of socially vulnerable families in Artsakh who need housing.
“We have initiated a program to build 5000 apartments in three years. First of all, apartments will be provided to the families of the victims and the displaced,” Beglaryan said.
