HAA files complaint with ECHR regarding Armenian POW Tigran Hakobyan’s case returned to Armenia on Dec. 4

Ten Armenian captives captured on November 16, 2021 returned to Armenia on December 4. Among them was Tigran Hakobyan. After hearing the news of his capture, his family applied to the Vanadzor office of the Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly. According to HCA, they immediately filed an urgent complaint with the European Court of Human Rights, based on a video circulating on the Internet, in which Tigran was see. Based on the complaint, the ECHR ruled to apply an urgent measure and set a deadline of December 1. Azerbaijan asked for six days to return Tigran Hakobyan among the 10 captives on December 4.
HCA lawyers have filed urgent applications and complaints with the European Court in the cases of other people captured during the 44-day war.
