In cooperation with the Armenian Ministry of Economy, and the Ministry of Health, as well as the Russian Investment Fund, we were able to produce the Sputnik Light vaccine in Armenia, Sergey Matevosyan, the CEO of the the Liqvor company, told a news conference today.

“For 30 years, our company has maintained the stability of the healthcare system by producing first aid drugs,” Matevosyan said, adding that the vaccine can already be put into circulation. He said it would take three days for the company to meet Armenia’s one-year requirements, and so steps are already being taken to export the vaccines.

From her part, Health Anahit Avanesyan said that like other vaccines, the Sputnik Light will be purchased through state funds, and it will be free for the citizens of Armenia.

“Our policy is to maintain the widest possible range of vaccines in Armenia. No vaccine can replace them all. Sputnik Light will be in our range of vaccines, it is a stimulant vaccine. Our citizens can apply for a third dose and be vaccinated with Sputnik Light,” she said.
