Vorotan road is under direct view of Azerbaijani soldiers – ombudsman

The only alternative road to Vorotan is under a direct sight of the Azerbaijani armed forces, Armenian Ombudsman Arman Tatoyan said․ The only way to restore the security and rights of the inhabitants is to remove them. Apart from the fact that people have been deprived of the internationally guaranteed right to move freely and safely on the Goris-Kapan [M2] road due to the Azerbaijani so-called border and customs control, the alternative route does not objectively address the issue of human rights violations.
To address this and other similar problems, there is only one solution: Azerbaijani armed or other servicemen should not be near our communities or on the roads between the communities, and a demilitarized security zone should be created.
