25.11.2021 | 13:16The National Assembly’s Armenia faction today initiated parliamentary hearings on the issues of demarcation and demarcation between Azerbaijan and Armenia. Opposition MPs, representatives of extra-parliamentary forces, military, public, intellectual figures and experts are attending the hearings. The ruling Civil Contract faction, however, does not participate in it.
NA Deputy Speaker Ishkhan Saghatelyan underscored that in the current situation it is critical to hold discussions on such a scale.
“We consider this a good opportunity for our partners outside the parliament to voice their positions and views from the National Assembly floor, to organize a joint substantive discussion, “Saghatelyan said.
Speaking at the hearing, the leader of the Armenia faction, Seyran Ohanyan, said that the process of demarcation is being carried out in the complicated military and political situation created around Armenia and Artsakh, so “there are no necessary prerequisites for the implementation of that process.”
