Georgia ranks first in COVID – 19 morbidity rates

According to the New York Times, the dynamics of coronavirus mortality statistics for the last seven days, Georgia ranks first in the world per 100,000 inhabitants. According to the report, which is based on the statistics of Our World In Data, the number of deaths per 100,000 inhabitants in Georgia during the last seven days is 2.01. The average daily mortality rate in the country is 74.7.
Bulgaria is the second with the average daily mortality rate of 128.7. The mortality rate per 100,000 inhabitants in Bulgaria is 1.85. Moldova is in the third place with 1.82 deaths per 100,000 inhabitants. In fourth place is Ukraine, where an average of 682.6 people die per day, and the mortality rate per 100,000 inhabitants is 1.54.
In the past 24 hours, 1,851 new COVID 19 cases were confirmed in Georgia, 55 people died.
