As reported earlier, on November 17, the body of Armenian serviceman Sen. Lt. Taron Sahakyan,31, was transported on a direct flight from Baku to Yerevan. The deal was mediated by Deputy Commander of the Southern Military District of the Russian Federation, Lt. Gen. Rustam Muradov, MoD said in a statement.
The search operation for the missing as well as the work to return the captives continues, the statement said.
It also said that late on November 17, the units of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces opened irregular fire in some sections of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border in Tavush province. The enemy’s fire was silenced by retaliatory actions. As of 10:00 on November 18, the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border is relatively stable.
