Goris Deputy Mayor Menua Hovsepyan to be arrested, his lawyer calls it a political decision

The Criminal Court of Appeal today made a decision to satisfy the complaint of the General Prosecutor’s Office, to overturn the decision of the Court of First Instance. Accordingly, Goris Deputy Mayor Menua Hovsepyan will be arrested, his lawyer, Armen Melkonyan, told Factor.am.
“An unprecedented, shameful decision has been made. Mr. Hovsepyan has a second-degree disability, he has five minor children in his care, during which time he did not commit any illegal act, why do they change the measure of restraint? This is a blatant political decision,” he said.
